Quest Rules
As this is an event focused on character development and exploration, no other esk may be present on your esk's journey. The only exception to this is during the Introduction and Conclusion.
You may complete the quest more than once, but only the first play-through of each Temple will earn you the prizes and bonuses. For the story to make sense, each play-through should feature a different esk and/or take place in the opposite temple.
As this quest is a continuous narrative, it should follow your chosen esk on their path through the the chosen Temple. The Introduction must be completed before any prompts, and then your esk must complete at least 3 of the 5 prompts for that Temple to reach the quest's Conclusion. However, there is no set order to the chapters within each Temple, and you are free to complete those in any order you wish before moving on to the Conclusion.
No overlapping entries for multiple chapters. You can't submit one piece of art/writing and say it is for multiple chapters; you have to pick one prompt per submission. Comic panels will be treated as separate submissions and follow the same guidelines.
You cannot stack these quest prompts with Monthly or Origin Prompts. Normal scoring bonuses apply (Personal Art, Other Esk, etc).
Commissions are allowed; raffle tickets, AP and GP bonuses, and prizes go to the buyer only.
YCHs/YEHs will not be applicable for this quest.
Collaborations are not allowed for this activity. Due to the character focused nature of this event, RP and collaborative storylines are not permissible for the Quest, but can apply to the other event prompts.
All entries must move the plot along. Multiple artworks of esk standing around or doing the same thing over and over in similar poses or repetitive backgrounds is not in the spirit of this activity! All artwork and writing must be clearly related to the content in the quest chapters. Ensure that your esk is clearly present in the artwork or writing, and that the prompts are meaningfully depicted. We encourage creative liberty and artistic interpretations of what your esk will find in each room, but we also expect each room to be recognizable and its prompt honored.
If you do not own an esk, you can still participate by drawing/writing about another player's character(s). Please ask permission from the owner before using other esk as the focus of your quest. The player drawing the esk will still qualify for the AP portion of the Introduction's AP & GP ladder, but the borrowed esk will not qualify for the GP portion of the ladder.
You MUST include the name of the Temple as well as the name of the chapter in your submission title or description. This will help us make sure no one misses out on any prizes or raffle tickets.
All quest entries should be submitted to the QUEST: Soulsong gallery folder before the closing deadline.
Extra quest artwork that does not meet the requirements will not qualify as quest prompt entries, but are still welcome in the QUEST: Soulsong gallery folder as part of your development of the story. This includes sketches and poetry.
