Form

Esk are not like animals; they do not eat, age, die, or reproduce. They can sleep if they choose, but they do not need to. They are part ghost and can phase in and out of solid form. The plants and nature features on their bodies are not literal organisms but are a manifestation of spirit. The vitality or appearance of the nature features may depend on factors like the esk's emotional state or history. The type of plants and nature features that manifest are always related to the site of their transformation.

Esk come in different shapes, sizes, and coloration. They have no mouths, ears, or eyelids. The common esk form is quadrupedal with three toes and has medium length fur with a long tail that drags on the ground. Most esk are dull or earth-toned with light faces, dark eyes, and subtle markings, but there are lots of variations. Some rare esk also have mutations and strange features.
The other information pages in this section contain detailed information about the esk's form and appearance.
